Microsoft Office integration
Overview
Microsoft Office is a standard tool in most organizations globally providing a logical point of integration for sharing documents (contracts and templates) in MS-Word and managing tasks and communications in Outlook.
The XML-based structure of UpsideContract provides a solid foundation for deep integration with Microsoft Office, including support for email integration with Microsoft Outlook as well as document sharing in Microsoft Word.
UpsideContract provides a rich client interface that resides on client desktops in Microsoft Office 2003® or higher (including Office 2007®) . It is important to note that UpsideContract remains a ZERO footprint, web-based product and that the Office 2003 interface is an option. The Office 2003 integrated client provides the full functionality of the online version along with improved support for collaboration and other relevant activities.
Off-line Document Sharing and Import / Export Capabilities
UpsideContract supports off-line document sharing using Microsoft Word documents in Office
or higher.
UpsideContract supports the exporting of documents to Microsoft Word 2000 or higher. Users external to the UpsideContract application can modify the Word document using Microsoft Word then send it back to a user with access to UpsideContract. The document can then be imported back into UpsideContract while maintaining the structure and integrity of the document (sections, clauses, styles, headers and footers, fonts, etc).
Intelligent Cut & Paste Functionality
Intelligent ‘cut & paste’ function allow users to cut content from word processor documents and paste into the contract with proper formatting of clauses in the target document. The ‘Bulk Paste’ functionality allows whole sections of an external document to be pasted into the contract and properly number these new clauses.
